Beloit Transit System (BTS), along with Janesville Transit (JT), jointly operate 12 weekday round trips between Janesville and Beloit along the Beloit-Janesville Express (BJE) route.
BTS and JT, along with the Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation (GBEDC), are conducting the BJE study to identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance transit connectivity between Beloit and Janesville, with the goal to get more people to jobs, health care, and other essential services within the region.
Through December 2025, the study will propose route redesigns that enhance connections to key regional destinations, including potentially connecting to the future Ho-Chunk Casino.

About
The BJE study is being conducted in partnership between Beloit Transit System (BTS), Janesville Transit (JT), and the Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation (GBEDC). The study began in July and includes an analysis of existing conditions and stakeholder engagement this fall. Proposed route and service changes will be considered through the remainder of the year with the final recommendation ready by December 2025.
